About Walk & Talk Therapy
Every journey starts with a single step.....
Are you interested in counselling, but not a fan of sitting indoors? Why not consider booking a walk and talk session with me?
While walk and talk therapy gained popularity during the pandemic, it may surprise you to learn that Sigmund Freud took his counseling outdoors as early as 1910 during a four-hour session with composer Gustav Mahler.
Spending time in nature and engaging in physical activity has been shown to support mental wellbeing. Sunlight exposure can boost your mood and helps your body produce vitamin D. Walking increases endorphins (mood enhancers) and serotonin, the body's natural 'feel good' chemical.
Walk and talk therapy may also appeal to you as we walk side by side, reducing direct eye contact. You can benefit from a counselling session, whilst also increasing your physical activity!

As a trained walk-and-talk therapist within Telford, I ensure that all walking routes are thoroughly risk assessed, with your safety and confidentiality being top priorities. Walks are normally planned to last 50 minutes, but can be adapted to what suits you. Interested? Why not contact me for further details?
